QNB becomes the First Bank in Qatar to offer real-time Qtel payment functionality across its internet and SMS banking channels.

 
Doha, 14 October, 2010 - QNB announced the launch of real-time payment solutions for Qtel customers utilizing the Bank’s eazyinternet and eazySMS services.
 
These are part of the eazylife suite of e-banking services which provide banking functionality to customers on the move and allow them to complete transactions at home, the office or whilst on the move anywhere in the world.
 
In addition to the wide range of Qtel payment solutions that are currently available through eazylife, Pre- and Post-paid Qtel subscribers now benefit from being able to complete real-time payments supported by this new enhancement.
 
This service is part of the phased integration of QNB’s various e-banking channels to support the everyday customer’s need to bank on the move and have access to not just traditional banking services but also have access to essential payment solutions around the clock via the Bank’s e-channels.
 
QNB provides access to a range of pre-paid services including Hala top-ups, Ebhar internet vouchers, Q-Cards for landlines and payphones, and Dawli vouchers for international calling. Post-paid customers can also pay their Shahry, mobile broadband, residential fixed line or Mozaic package bills instantly via eazyinternet and eazySMS.
 
All Qtel transactions carried out via the Bank’s internet and SMS channels are instantly reflected in the user's Qtel account supported by an agreement between QNB and Qtel to link their payment processes and interfaces.
QNB customers who are registered to use the eazyinternet and eazySMS service can avail these services immediately. Those not registered can do so by visiting www.qnb.com.qaor call the Customer Care Center 44407777 for assistance.
 
Once registered for the service, customers can log on to eazyinternet and select “utility payments” to complete their transactions. Customers wishing to use eazySMS can authorize the payments by sending the service code to 92777.
 
This complements the successful recent addition of real time payments via QNB ATMs to deliver the same efficiency, ease of access and functionality to all Qtel customers utilizing eazyATM, Qatar’s largest ATM network which supplements Qtel’s existing Self Service Kiosks across the country.
 
QNB is currently the only bank that offers such a wide range of real-time payment channels to Qtel customers. In addition, the Bank also accepts payments via eazyATM regardless of whether customers use QNB accounts or any other bank’s cards to complete these transactions.
