The Bank is preparing shortlists for the second stage of the recruitment process

Doha, March 2010 - QNB announced excellent student and graduate turnout at its pavilion during Qatar Career Fair 2010. The Bank received a large number of applications from candidates hoping to join the Bank.

Throughout the 5-day event that was held from March 14-18, officials from QNB’s Human Capital Department welcomed young Qataris to its pavilion, striving to provide guidance and respond to their inquiries in as much detail as possible.

The QNB pavilion at QCF 2010 was established to help students and graduates find career opportunities commensurate with their qualifications and personal ambitions. Potential job applicants met QNB officials who introduced them to the diverse roles that are available at QNB and in Qatar’s booming financial sector. QCF 2010 was also an opportunity for the Bank’s officials to help the nation’s youth understand the importance of planning their careers from an early age.

Having accepted preliminary applications at the Career Fair, QNB’s Human Capital Department is now preparing to shortlist candidates for the second phase of the recruitment process which involves personal interviews and career aptitude tests, in addition to common skills. Potential candidates will then be offered job offers.

The Bank seeks to recruit 150 top Qatari graduates in various divisions at different levels to meet the expansion requirements witnessed by the Bank both locally and internationally. Additionally, the Bank aims to enhance the current overall Qatarization ratio of 53%. Noting that, the ratio of Qatari branch managers at the Bank is now 83%, with QNB Al Islami having a ratio of 78% national employees.

QCF, established in 2007 is an annual exhibition and forum that provides education and employment opportunities at the country’s major institutions for students at secondary and graduate levels, as well as for fresh graduates.

The exhibition is also a key component of Qatar’s efforts to contribute to building human skills and abilities within the framework of Qatar National Vision 2030, which outlines a fully sustainable and diverse economic vision for the country’s future.
