Doha, 16 October, 2018 – QNB Group, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, organized various activities in collaboration with the Qatar Social and Cultural Center for the Blind for the International White Cane Day.

The 15th of October of each year, marks an international observance to celebrate the achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired. QNB set up a booth in Ezdan Mall and handed out informative brochures and organized interactive activities for the public.

The event aims to raise awareness about blindness, educate people about the basic skills to interact with those who have vision impairment, remove negative stereotypes about disability, and teach those who are visually impaired about the importance of using the white cane to navigate safely and independently.

QNB's keenness to contribute in supporting creative disabled talents in Qatar comes in line with its diverse range of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and programs launched with the aim of aligning them with Qatar's National Vision 2030.
