Doha, 24 October, 2019 – QNB Group, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, has announced its sponsorship for Qatar Sustainability week 2019 organized by Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
QNB’s sponsorship of this annual event comes as part of its ongoing commitment towards the environment.
The week-long initiative aims to promote a culture of sustainability by engaging employees and customers through a series of sustainability-oriented activities. QNB’s participation in QSW 2019 will further highlight the country’s efforts and progress towards achieving its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
QSW 2019 is expected to follow the continuing success of the initiative over the past three years, as QSW 2018 drew an attendance of more than 30,000 members of the public and representatives of key governmental and private institutions, at 220 events by 125 partners in three cities.
