To subscribe to SMS Banking, please follow the below steps:

  • Send SUBSCRIBE to 92111 from your registered phone number
  • Accept terms and conditions

Once all the steps are done successfully you can enjoy using QNB SMS services.

Eidyah Mobile Payments

Send/receive Eidyah funds within QNB accounts via SMS to 92111 in the following format:

Eidyah <recipient mobile number> <amount> 

Example: Ediyah 12345678 50 (spaces in between)

Once a request is successfully sent, you will receive an SMS notification to your registered number and be asked to confirm with OK and the OTP number.

Example: OK 1234  (spaces in between)

Upon receipt of bank’s confirmation to customer’s mobile, the bank will send a notification with the details of the Eidyah details.

Please note that a daily limit of 5 transactions totaling QR10,000 will apply.

Mobile Pay and Merchant Payment

QNB Mobile Payments
Send/receive funds within QNB accounts via SMS to 92111 in the following format:

Pay <recipient mobile number> <amount> 

Example: Pay 12345678 50 (spaces in between)

Pay <recipient mobile number> <account short name> <amount>

Example: Pay 12345678 saving1 100 (spaces in between)

Once a request is successfully sent, you will receive an SMS notification to your registered number and be asked to confirm with OK and the OTP number.

Merchant Payment
Shop with your mobile instantly and securely. Apply the following steps:
Step 1: Payment
Send an SMS to 92111 in this format:
PAY Merchant Code Amount       (spaces in between)
Example: PAY CAR001001 200     (spaces in between)
 
Step 2: Payment Confirmation
You will receive a message to confirm the payment, reply with “OK”.
Step 3: Bank Notification to Customer and Merchant
Upon receipt of bank’s confirmation to customer’s mobile, the bank will send a notification with details to the merchant and the customer. Please note that a daily limit of 5 transactions totaling QR10,000 will apply.

Card and PIN Request Activation

PIN Command Request
You forgot your PIN and need to request a new one?
Send an SMS in the following format:
 
PIN < first and last 4 digits of the card number>  
Example: PIN 5318 5347 (spaces in between)
 
The above command is used and covers the following cases:
 
  • All newly issued non-active cards without PIN mailer.
  • Temporary PIN request: In case you forgot your PIN or want to reset/request a new one.
 
Upon successful card activation, an SMS will be sent to your registered mobile number confirming the activation of the card, followed by another SMS with the card’s temporary PIN information.
 
You will be requested to change your card’s temporary PIN received on your mobile number and must select and re-confirm your new permanent 4-digit PIN within 3 days from the request at any QNB ATM.
 
If you do not set a permanent PIN within 3 days, the temporary PIN will expire, and you’ll be required to send another PIN request by SMS to 92777 to request a new temporary PIN.
 
ACTIVATE Command Request
ACTIVATE <The first 4> and <the last 4 digits of the card number>
Example: ACTIVATE 5318 5347 (spaces in between)
 
The above command is used and covers the following cases:
  • New cards issued with previous PIN or permanent 4-digit PIN Mailer.
  • For temporarily inactive cards where you have placed a temporary hold request for your card and wish to reactivate it again.
 
You’ll receive an SMS confirming that your request is in process, followed by another once your card has been activated and the system will validate your card details.

Ooredoo Mobile Money

Send/receive funds between all Ooredoo Mobile Money Wallet holders via SMS  with the following steps:

Once the request is sent, you will receive an SMS alert to your registered mobile number asking you to confirm with OK and the OTP number.

Following a successful OTP entry, the funds will be transferred to the beneficiaries’ Ooredoo Mobile Money (OMM) wallet. Please note that a daily limit of 5 transactions totaling QR10,000 will apply.

E-Gift Voucher

e-Gift Voucher is a new feature for SMS Banking which allows you to purchase e-Gift Vouchers and to redeem online with your favorite stores or merchants, or to be given to your loved ones. The service is only available for PlayStation and iTunes Store.

 

Pre-requisites to use the service

The service is available for QNB customers and your mobile number is required for registration.  You can also share the purchased Voucher Code with friends and family.

Purchase a Voucher

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I send instant cash vouchers to be withdrawn from QNB ATMs?

Yes. Through SMS banking, use the Mobile Cash service to send cash to an Ooredoo or Vodafone number in Qatar and they will receive a voucher number to receive money from any QNB ATM.

What type of balances can I enquire about through SMS Banking?

Through SMS Banking you can enquire about account balance, credit card balance and credit card Life Rewards balance.

Is it possible to activate my cards for international use through SMS Banking?

Yes. It is possible to enable and also disable your cards for international use outside of Qatar,

How can I redeem the voucher?

Subject to the type of voucher you purchase, you can redeem directly at the Voucher Store, for an instance at PlayStation Store or iTunes Store.

How can I share the voucher as a gift?

Due to security reasons, the Voucher Code is sent to the purchaser (you), and you can forward the voucher details to someone else. However, do note that the voucher can only be used once after redemption, hence you cannot share with multiple persons.

Can I cancel the purchase and get a refund?

You cannot cancel or get a refund for a successfully purchased voucher.

What should I do if I have not received the Voucher Code?

Contact Customer Call Center on 44407777 to resolve.

Is there a transaction limit for the service?

Customer can purchase maximum of QAR 5,000 worth of voucher value per day, OR maximum of 5 transaction a day.

Are there any charges?

There are no additional charges to purchase a voucher apart from the voucher value.

How can I access the service?

The service is only available through QNB SMS Banking.

How do I select which account to use for the purchase?

Your primary account will be used as a default for QNB SMS Banking.
